Scented Soy Candles

Soy wax is 100% vegetable by-product and not a petroleum by-product. Soy is completely non-toxic and non-carcinogenic and scented soy candles produce little or no soot to damage the surrounding room or to those with allergies or breathing problems. Soy wax is environmentally safe, biodegradable and is easily cleaned up with just soap and water.

Scented soy candles burn cleanly and evenly leaving very little to zero excess wax on the sides of the jar to eliminate waste. They also burn cooler than most paraffin wax candles which will lessen the risk of serious burns from melted wax. Scented soy candles also seem to hold their fragrances extremely well compared to the naughty petroleum by-product kind.

Scented soy candles available are typically scented with a natural essence rather than a synthetic fragrance. With “flavors” such as Crème Brûlée, Gingerbread, Jeweled Citrus and Banana Nut Bread, you can easily tease your appetite with soy candles.

How To Make Your Own Candles

Perfume scented candles can create a romantic atmosphere from time to time in your house. Do you know that you don’t have to buy your favorite candles, but you can make it your own .

You can make from old burned candles or from new ones, bought in one pound pack they are much cheaper that way. The candles will be melted in a recipient full of water. They will never be placed directly on fire, because it’s too dangerous.

We have to prepare the shapes of the candles. We can make them ourself or we can use boxes or paper glasses. We turn the shape upside down, we make a small piercing that will be used to keep the top of the candle seperated from the rest of if.

The straw that will keep the candles burning can be taken from an old candle or can be made out of white cotton straw. With a stick, pen or pencil we introduce the straw so that it is placed right through the middle. More precisely, we wrap the straw around a stick that will be fixed by the edged of the shape.

In order to color the wax we use oil colors or coloring dust that is dissolved in the melting wax. If we want the candles in the horizontal lines, we pour the each line at the time in different colors, waiting each time for them to cool to prevent the colors mix.

When the candles are completely cold, we can remove them from their shapes. If we find difficulty to remove them, we can put in the refrigerator for an hour and remove the candles after that.
